ProRail registreert o.a. het transport van gevaarlijke stoffen per trein, zodat (overheids)hulpdiensten bij een calamiteit snel en volledig kunnen worden geïnformeerd. De uitwisseling van deze informatie is in de periode 2018-2019 overgeschakeld van een nationale standaard, naar de Europese TSI TAF/TAP-standaard. Het is voor (technische) partijen veel aantrekkelijker om software en koppelingen te ontwikkelen voor een Europese standaard, in plaats van een standaard die alleen voor ProRail geschikt is. Andersom is het voor de gehele spoorsector gunstig wanneer door deze schaalvergroting meerdere marktpartijen de EU-integratie kunnen en willen gaan verzorgen, waardoor de kosten dalen, meer integratiemogelijkheden en gebruikersvriendelijkere oplossingen ontstaan. De trend is dat spoorwegondernemingen rechtstreeks vanuit hun eigen backoffice en systemen de communicatie richting ProRail gaan verzorgen, waarmee het wisselen tussen computerschermen en applicaties steeds verder wordt afgebouwd. ProRail zet stapsgewijs in op verdere implementatie van TSI TAF/TAP. Hieronder vallen o.a. TCM, PTCPM en ordermanagement. Daarmee wordt er niet alleen voldaan aan Europese wet- en regelgeving, maar ook aan verbetering van grensoverschrijdend treinverkeer en de communicatie van spoorwegondernemingen met ProRail zelf.
BAM Infra Rail bv is een spoorbouwaannemer die gespecialiseerd is in onderhoud- nieuwbouw- en vernieuwingswerkzaamheden binnen de railinfrastructuur. BAM Infra Rail bv is gecertificeerd als Spoorwegonderneming om zelfstandig (onderhouds-)machines en (bouw-)materialen te transporteren over het Nederlandse spoor.

On inspection runs the most significant parameters of the rail, the superstructure, the substructure and the catenary system are measured and analysed in one run in various combinations constantly and contact-free. The high measuring speeds influence operational management only minimally. This entirely new method of relating measurement results delivers in previously unknown way the mutual interdependence of the various separate parameters for the purposes of ever more precise forecasting of rail infrastructure conditions.
